How to avoid getting scammed

Most scams work the same way: they rush you, or they move you somewhere Bloxtsar can't help. Build a few habits and almost all of them fall apart.

The habits that stop most scams

• Never go first. Real trades happen at the same time inside the game's official trade window. If someone asks you to hand over items and "trust" them to send back, it's a scam.
• Trade in-game only, same game. Only swap in-game items for other in-game items within the same game, using that supported Roblox game's own trade system. Cash, Robux, gift cards, accounts, or items from another game are against the rules and can't be recovered.
• Stay on Bloxtsar. Scammers push you to Discord or DMs where there's no report button and no record. Keep the chat and the deal here.
• There are no Bloxtsar middlemen. We don't offer or support middleman or escrow services. Anyone claiming to be a "Bloxtsar middleman" is lying.
• Check who you're dealing with. Look at their profile Reputation and vouches, and search the Deal with Caution registry before you commit. A gold Known Trader badge is a good sign; a DWC warning is a red flag.
• Verify the items and their values. Confirm what's really being offered and what it's worth using the trade calculator and value pages before you accept.
• Never share your password or recovery codes. No trade ever needs them, and neither Bloxtsar nor Roblox will ask.

Red flags to walk away from

• Pressure to be quick, a countdown, or "last chance".
• "You send first and I'll send it back."
• Any push to move to Discord or Telegram, or to click a link.
• Someone offering to "hold" the trade as a middleman.
• Anything involving real money, Robux, or items from another game.

🛡️ If a deal feels off, stop. There's always another trade. Report anything sketchy from the chat's report button.

If something still goes wrong

Report the user from the chat, and if you lost items, open a ticket at Support. Be aware that Bloxtsar can act on the scammer's account but cannot restore scammed items or reverse an in-game trade. See our article "I got scammed": what Bloxtsar can and can't do.
